My talks and seminars are fun, interesting and very
practical. Everyone attending will not only have a good time, but
they will also get dozens of tips and techniques that they can use
right away.

Talks
The Back Break
Backs get whipped every day! Sit, stand, stoop, turn,
twist, you name it and a back somewhere is doing it. And with what
relief? A few hours of rest, tossing and turning on a mattress.
Why, even that is a pain sometimes! Also, dont forget, backs
have to put up with this punishment and still get talked behind.
Lets face it: Backs
deserve a break and thats what this talk is designed to doshow
employees how to take care of their back and give it a break.
Dangerous Daze
For over 40 years of your life, an accident is the
most likely way you will die. Most people know how accidents happen.
But few of us ever consider why they happen. In this talk we dissect
the why of an accident. The thought process which leads people down
the thorny and painful path leading to an accident.
Purpose: To help the audience
recognize the next time they are on the accident pathso they
can get off.
The Question Is: Should You Be Committed?
"Safety is a state of mind governed by the dollar
sign." How can a manager prove this isnt true? Or, if
it has been, how can he prove that things will change? This talk
uncovers some innovative ways to create the climate of trust that
is invaluable in getting employees to believe in their safety program.
Another Pain In The Office
The office is a place where the body is most safe
and secure. Office workers are rarely at risk. Only the mechanic
or iron worker needs to have safety meetings. The office is a healthy
haven. WRONG! The way you sit, the way you
lift or type may lead to pain and years of suffering. During this
talk we learn how to make the right choice, and develop good habits,
so we can avoid "Another Pain In The Office."
The Naked Worker
How much protection does a person need? When an armadillo
curls up into a protective ball against an oncoming automobile its
a fruitless effort. Doesnt the same scenario sometimes apply
to protective equipment for humans? Why should a worker always wear
protective equipment? Does it really make a difference? And if it
does, how much? These are the questions answered in "The Naked
Worker." The purpose of this talk is to influence employees
to wear their protective equipmenteven when the "boss"
isnt looking.
Use the fun and creative safety and health puzzles
to liven up your next safety meeting.

to say about Richard's sessions:
Hi Mr. Hawk,
Last November, I had the opportunity to hear you speak
at Southern Pines, NC. This meeting was the most beneficial meeting
that I have ever attended. You are a very talented speaker and left
a lasting impression on me. I have always wanted to be able to lead
meetings like you - in this respect you are my hero!
